• 4. Description [Abstrak] : The cultural diversity in Indonesia has become a national identity that must be maintained and preserved, one of which is Erau. This research is describing how Erau as Indonesia’s soft power in increasing tourist visits both domestic and foreign tourists through the process of public diplomacy. The research is descriptive and the author used the primary data through interview and the secondary data obtained from various articles related to the subject matter. The results from this study indicated that the distribution of soft power through Erau can increase tourist visits both for domestic and foreign tourists. This can be realized because of the existence of a public diplomacy process carried out by the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Kutai Kartanegara Regency which collaborates to promote Erau to the international world.
