• 4. Description [Abstrak] : The aim of this research was to determine the impact of work-family conflict and work- life balance of work motivation on coal mine works in Berau Regency. This research uses quantitative research methods. The subject of this research was 60 coal mine employees in Berau Regency. Data collection methods use motivation scale work, work-family conflict and work-life balance. The collected data is analyzed by multiple regression tests. The research result showed that (1) there is significant impact of work-family conflicts and work- life balance on work motivation employee’s by the F value > F table (20.557 > 3.16) and the p value = 0.000; (2 ) there is a negative and significant of work-family conflict on the work motivation of employee’s by the beta coefficient (β)= -0.543, as well as the t value > t table (-5.424 > 2.020) and the p value = 0.032; (3) there is a positive and significant impact of work life balance on work motivation of employee’s by the beta coefficient (β)=0.648, as well as the t value > t table (6.411> 2.020)also the p value = 0.000.
