• 4. Description [Abstrak] : Deforestation in Indonesia due to the lack of government attention impact on reduced of forest area and environmental damage. The cooperation between Indonesian government and UK government are supported forest governmance reform through Multistakeholder Forestry Programmed scheme. UK Provided 5 million punsterling grants that intended to improve forest governance by involved other stakeholders. This study aimed to describe and explain the result of aid cooperation UK to Indonesia, Multistakeholder Forestry Programme (MFP) with the aimed of improving forest governance in Indonesia, whiche in this study focused on one of the province of East Borneo. This Type of research is descriptive-analytic that is explained and analyzed how the cooperation between Indonesia and UK Scheme MFP work in Indonesia in general and particulary in East Borneo. This Study indicates that the cooperation between Indonesia and the UK are not separated from the interest of one of the parties to achieve one of the purposes. The outcome programmed of cooperation between Indonesia and the UK are implemented in one of the province in Indonesia, East Borneo, would be a benchmark for the implementation of this program in other areas that have forest resources.
